The regular season cannot start soon enough for the New York Jets and their fans because the offseason has been saturated with questions about star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The Green Bay transplant only lasted four offensive plays last year before a torn Achilles put him on the shelf.
Now he’s made headlines for also missing OTAs that the rest of his teammates presumably showed up for.
Players and coaches are saying all the right things, and a quick start in September will erase all memory of failed attendance to OTAs.
But not everyone in the NFL world is reading from the same script.
Former NFL wide receiver and current FOX Sports analyst T.J. Houshmandzadeh told FS1’s Speak that the future Hall of Famer missing OTAs to journey to Egypt “isn’t a good look.”

Houshmandzadeh asked if he couldn’t have gone to the Middle East “two days later.”
It didn’t help that Rodgers attended a UFC event after skipping team functions.
The analyst further noted fallout from the quarterback’s absence could come when future Jets stars reach a level where they feel they, too, should be afforded the luxury of missing offseason workouts.
Houshmandzadeh conceded that if the Jets get off to a hot start and the offense is clicking, all will be forgiven and forgotten.
But for now, when the franchise quarterback puts activities that could have easily been done some other time ahead of the team, he insists it is indeed a “bad look.”
And for Jets fans, the season cannot start soon enough.
