Transfer Rumors Surrounding Finn Jeltsch Heat Up
Finn Jeltsch celebrates a victory with his Stuttgart teammates.
Liverpool and Arsenal may have received favorable news in their pursuit of promising Stuttgart center-back Finn Jeltsch.
Christian Falk, writing for CF Bayern Insider, suggests that Bayern Munich does not currently hold serious interest in Jeltsch as the summer transfer window approaches.
While Falk notes that several elite clubs are monitoring the 19-year-old’s progress, he emphasizes that Bayern’s priority does not include acquiring a new central defender at this time.
This development could be beneficial for Liverpool and Arsenal, who have both been linked to Jeltsch by various sources recently.
Bayern Munich’s Stance on Jeltsch Clarified
Jeltsch appears poised for a future transfer to a larger club, but Falk does not foresee Bayern being significant contenders for the young Germany Under-21 international’s services right now.
According to Falk, Jeltsch could be valued at around €30 million, with a move to the Premier League potentially being a more plausible outcome for him.
Falk stated, “It is NOT TRUE: Bayern are keeping a watching brief on Finn Jeltsch. They are aware of the player, and he is drawing attention from multiple scouts across the Premier League. He’s performing exceptionally well at just 19, which is why he’s attracting interest from the German national team as well.”
However, he added, “Currently, there are no overriding offers for the defender. He’s a player for the future. Bayern isn’t actively seeking a center-back at the moment. He’s on their radar, among many others, but nothing concrete has emerged.”
“He has an estimated market value of about €30 million (£25.9 million), a price that Premier League clubs may consider.”
Do Liverpool and Arsenal Need Finn Jeltsch?
Although Jeltsch has played only 47 matches for Stuttgart, he shows potential as a top player moving forward.
Liverpool is in need of additional defensive options, especially with Ibrahima Konate nearing the end of his contract and Virgil van Dijk aging.
This situation could create an opportunity for Jeltsch, yet transitioning to such a high-profile club could be challenging, as Liverpool may prefer a more seasoned player for immediate needs.
Arsenal, on the other hand, appears well-stocked defensively and might prioritize strengthening their midfield and attacking options this summer.
