Exciting Junior Tennis Tournament: September 2024 Four Nations Championship

Junior Four Nations September 2024


Tennis Ireland is delighted to announce that Donnybrook Lawn Tennis Club will be hosting the Junior Four Nations in September.

Ireland 12&U, 14&U and 18&U will compete against England, Scotland and Wales from Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd September.

Selection

The top two nationally ranked players in each age group on 26th August will be selected to represent Ireland, provided they are eligible.

A selection email will be sent directly to the players from Tennis Ireland.

Eligibility for Junior Four Nations:

Players must have an Irish passport or be born in Ireland.

We look forward to working with Donnybrook LTC on an action-packed weekend of tennis where spectators are very welcome at the club to support the boys and girls in green.

14&U European Championships

The 14&U European Championships takes place in Most, Czech Republic from 9th – 15th September for the top ranked players in Europe.

Selection

The top two boys and top two girls in the 14&U Tennis Europe rankings on 5th September will be selected to represent Ireland in the event, provided they are eligible.

A selection email will be sent directly to the players from Tennis Ireland.

Eligibility Criteria for European Championships:

*eligibility criteria. Players must:

– hold a current valid Irish passport of that nation; or

– have lived in the nation for two consecutive years, does not hold a passport but has a genuine reason for being unable to hold or make an application for a passport, and either:

  • was born or one of their parents or grandparents was born in that nation; or
  • has the right to remain permanently, or has been granted humanitarian protection in that nation;

• Shall not have represented any other nation at ITF Junior Team Competition level*

Tennis Ireland is looking forward to sending players to the tournament after success in previous years against Europe’s top players.
