Upcoming Coach Ed Workshops with Matt Little and Simon Wheatley


Tennis Ireland’s Performance Team is thrilled to announce two exclusive coach education workshops featuring internationally renowned experts, Matt Little and Simon Wheatley. Interim Performance Director Cian Blake extends an invitation to all Tennis Ireland members, but please note that places are limited for both events.

These workshops present an excellent opportunity to learn from global leaders in tennis coaching and strength conditioning, and CPD points will be available as outlined below. Both events are free of charge.

Workshop 1: Tennis-Specific Movements – Using Ground Force Reactions
Presenter: Matt Little

Matt Little is a globally recognised strength and conditioning coach, bringing over 25 years of experience to Tennis Ireland. Known for his 17-year tenure as Sir Andy Murray’s strength and conditioning coach, Matt has also been a key part of Great Britain’s Davis Cup-winning team for over 14 years. His expertise extends to working with elite athletes such as Katie Boulter (GB’s No.1 female player) and Kyle Edmund (former world No. 14). Matt’s wealth of experience is now contributing to the Tennis Ireland National Performance Development Programme, focusing on player strength and conditioning.

Workshop 2: Tactical Training for Female Performance Players
Presenter: Simon Wheatley

Simon Wheatley, Director of SWNineteen, is one of the world’s most respected and influential tennis coaches and educators. With a degree in Sports Development and Psychology, Simon is an LTA Level 5 Master Performance Coach and Tutor. He is a bestselling author, the creator of numerous coaching qualifications, and has trained over 10,000 coaches across 40 countries. His expertise includes Davis Cup analysis and consulting for top WTA, ATP, and ITF Junior players. Simon’s deep insights into the tactical aspects of female performance training make this workshop a must-attend.
