The 2024 Minnesota Vikings do not carry the burden of high expectations into the fall season, but that’s not to say there is a shortage of optimism.

Finding the right quarterback to replace the departed Kirk Cousins will be significant, but whoever steps into that role will have an impressive array of weapons.

This includes Justin Jefferson, who is perhaps the NFL’s finest receiver.

Another Viking, safety Camryn Bynum, recently told Stacey Dales that he is “confident when I say I expect us to be a Super Bowl team.”

Via The Purple Persuasion, the fourth-year star noted the experience in the locker room and the collection of talent as he made his lofty prognostication.

New Viking Sam Darnold is expected to start the season at quarterback, and if he were to somehow reach the level of play most expected out of such a high draft choice, the sky could be the limit.

On the defensive side, Bynum noted that the team enjoys rare depth, which makes him wonder how everyone will get the playing time they deserve.

The 2023 edition was unable to recover after Cousins went down with an Achilles injury.

This resulted in a quarterback carousel, which led to four straight losses, and the team closed the season with a 7-10 record.

Just how long it will be before top draft choice J.J. McCarthy steps in at quarterback is up in the air, and that will likely depend as much on Darnold’s play as anything McCarthy shows on the practice field.

And give props to Bynum, who was not shy about setting the bar for the 2024 Vikings at the highest possible level.
