The Minnesota Vikings are slated to look a lot different in 2024 than they did in 2023.
One of the most noticeable differences is at the quarterback position, as Kirk Cousins has moved on to the Atlanta Falcons.
Cousins’ departure was a shock to some fans, given the fact that he had been a consistent quarterback for the team despite not taking them on a deep playoff run.
However, now that he’s gone, the team has turned their attention to rookie quarterback, J.J. McCarthy.
The Vikings invested significant draft capital into McCarthy, and he is now the highest-drafted QB in team history.
While some people were unsure about what he would be able to do in the NFL, recent reports seem to indicate that he’s on the right track.
Jordan Addison, one of the team’s top receivers, told reporters that McCarthy “got a bright future,” via The Purple Persuasion on Twitter.

McCarthy will be tasked with supporting several strong receiving options this year, including T.J. Hockenson, Addison, and of course, Justin Jefferson.
Jefferson is one of the best receivers in the NFL, and he requires a lot of attention and targets from his quarterback.
McCarthy will likely have a lot of pressure to succeed in his first year in the league, especially considering the fact that Jefferson is looking for a contract extension.
If he can’t deliver to the team’s best player, it might be a tough rookie campaign.
With this in mind, fans are excited to see what the Vikings will look like in 2024.
