LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) has signed a deal with 32-year-old American center Tarik Black for the upcoming season. Black, who stands at 206cm, is a former international player and played college basketball at Kansas.
Black’s most recent stint was with Unahotels Reggio Emilia in the Italian Serie A, where he averaged 9.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in 15 appearances. He also helped his team reach the Italian Cup Semifinals.
During the 2022-23 season, Black played for Olympiacos in the Greek GBL, contributing 8.8 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in 19 outings. He played 35 games in the Euroleague, averaging 4.4 points and 1.7 rebounds, helping his team win the league title and reach the final.
Black has also played in various leagues around the world, including stops in Israel, Russia, Turkey, Serbia, and with multiple NBA teams. He has experience playing in the NBA G League and NBA Summer League as well.
Graduating from the University of Kansas in 2014, Black will be entering his eleventh season of professional basketball. He has previously played for the University of Memphis as well.
