The San Francisco 49ers have themselves something special in quarterback Brock Purdy.
After taking over as the starter in 2022 after being taken by San Francisco with the last pick in the draft that year, Purdy has not looked back.
He went 5-0 as the starter in 2022 and guided the team to an NFC Championship Game appearance that year.
Last season, he became a Pro Bowler after taking the team to the Super Bowl.
NFL analyst and former Super Bowl-winning wide receiver Plaxico Burress thinks very highly of Purdy.
“He is one of the top five quarterbacks in all of football,” Burress recently said on The Carton Show.

After turning in a season where he threw for over 4,200 yards and 31 touchdowns, the former Iowa State star is one of the league’s bright, young stars.
People can talk about how he is good because of the system that he is in or who he has around him, but the reality of the situation is that great players need a great supporting staff around them.
You can’t win a Super Bowl or become a Pro Bowl player without the people around you doing their jobs at a high level.
Kyle Shanahan is a brilliant play-caller.
Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, and Brandon Aiyuk, as of now, are arguably the best skill position cast in football.
But at the end of the day, it is all on Purdy.
He needs to make the necessary plays and throws.
So far, he has done everything at an incredibly high level and is one of the league’s best signal-callers.
