After winning 10 of their first 11 games last season, the Philadelphia Eagles came apart at the seams, losing five of their last six games and getting blown out in the wild-card round of the playoffs by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
A lot of attention has been focused on their defense, which ranked near the bottom of the NFL in several categories and resulted in multiple changes being made.
But in addition to bringing in Vic Fangio to be their new defensive coordinator, the Eagles also replaced offensive coordinator Brian Johnson with Kellen Moore.
On Fox Sports 1’s “Speak,” James Jones expressed concern with Moore being in charge of Philly’s offense by pointing out how his quarterbacks have done poorly under him.

Jones explained how Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott led the league in interceptions in 2022, despite playing in just 12 games, then turned in one of his best seasons ever last year after Moore departed to join the Los Angeles Chargers.
In L.A. last season, QB Justin Herbert saw his numbers across the board go down with Moore in charge.
Jalen Hurts, the Eagles’ signal-caller, was a prime MVP candidate in 2022 when the team went 14-3 and came to the brink of winning the Super Bowl championship.
Philly’s offense seems like it will be better this season with the addition of star running back Saquon Barkley, who is one of the league’s true forces in the backfield when he’s healthy.
But if the trend Jones pointed out continues, the Eagles’ wings could effectively be clipped this fall and winter.
