The Kansas City Chiefs are the team to beat in the National Football League, and that will continue to be the case until proven otherwise.

Patrick Mahomes is the undisputed best player in the game right now, and even though they’re not a perfect team by any means, they’ve won back-to-back Super Bowls.

With that in mind, everybody’s trying to figure out who poses the biggest threat on their way to a three-peat.

According to former NFL player Harry Douglas, the Cincinnati Bengals are the obvious choice.

Talking on ESPN’s First Take, Douglas pointed out the fact that Joe Burrow is the best pocket-passer in the league, and him being there always gives the Bengals a chance to win.

More than that, he’s 3-1 vs. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, and he was pretty close to being 4-0.

Douglas also remembered that Burrow was the only active quarterback to beat Mahomes in the playoffs, with Tom Brady being the other.

Those factors cannot be overlooked, as Zac Taylor and Burrow have found plenty of success vs. the Chiefs in the past, and both teams are brewing a harsh rivalry.

The Bengals didn’t even make the playoffs last season, which only speaks volumes about Burrow’s importance to the team.

But now that he’s back to full strength, they’re once again considered to be one of the biggest dark horses to go the whole way and get back to the Super Bowl this season.

Hopefully, both teams will cross paths in the playoffs and give us another instant classic.
