Expert Predicts Imminent Firing of NFL Head Coach

The New York Jets broke the seal by becoming the first team in the NFL to fire their head coach this season, and now that the floodgates have been opened, it’s fair for everyone to start wondering who’s next.

One analyst believes one coach is next up on the hot seat and isn’t far away from following Saleh to the unemployment line if his team can’t turn things around.

On the NFL pregame show on CBS, Pete Prisco said the Jacksonville Jaguars could be next in line to fire their coach, saying “It could be a real problem for Doug Pederson to make it through the season.”

Prisco said this during halftime of the Jaguars’ matchup with the Chicago Bears in London when the team was down 14-3, and after finishing the game with a 35-16 loss, that hot seat definitely didn’t get any cooler.

The Jags made a ton of mistakes on both sides of the ball that are going to start to generate more fingers pointed at Pederson, including multiple dropped passes, easily avoidable penalties in crucial situations, turnovers, and questionable decision-making at all levels.

Jacksonville had aspirations of winning the AFC South and winning playoff games, but at 1-5, the season has quickly slipped away.

The Jags have now lost ten out of 12 games dating back to last season, and it was disappointing even on a day when Trevor Lawrence looked quite impressive, the team was falling all over themselves around him and still lost by 19.

Jacksonville has another matchup in London next week with the New England Patriots.
