Onda Cero Report Raises Concerns about David Alaba’s Future
Alaba has been sidelined since sustaining a torn ACL in a match against Villarreal on December 18. Following surgery, Alaba has been working towards returning to full fitness. Initially expected to be back by the end of the year, a recent report from Onda Cero has raised doubts about his timeline due to some alarming revelations.
Onda Cero stated that Alaba’s injury was more severe than initially thought, with reduced cartilage in his knee causing discomfort from bone-on-bone contact. This has hindered his ability to partake in high-intensity training, delaying his recovery. There are even suggestions of early retirement due to the new pain in his knee.
According to Onda Cero, Real Madrid acknowledges that Alaba’s return to action will be delayed and they are considering defensive reinforcements in the upcoming January transfer window.
