The NFL Draft has always been a special occasion where the dreams of young men come true, not just in terms of getting to play pro football, but also in terms of attaining financial security for themselves and their families.

But in the last few years, the draft has also become something else — a chance for these players to make a fashion statement.

Marvin Harrison Jr., the impressive Ohio State wide receiver, showed up to the draft in a dark suit with an interesting piece of jewelry that seemed to honor his father, Marvin Harrison, and fans took to Twitter to react.

In fact, some fans called for the Indianapolis Colts, the team his father played for, to trade up in order to be able to draft him.

The elder Harrison played 13 seasons in the NFL, all of them with the Colts, and he helped lead them to a Super Bowl championship in the 2006 season, which helped him earn a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Many feel the younger Harrison has the potential to be about as great as his father was back in the day.

He put up over 1,200 receiving yards and scored 14 receiving touchdowns in both of the last two seasons, and he has a great combination of height, explosiveness, and agility.

The younger Harrison is just one of several intriguing wide receiver prospects this year, including Rome Odunze and Malik Nabers, which is one reason why this could end up being the best draft class in several decades.
