The Los Angeles Chargers could be on the verge of making a massive upgrade to their coaching staff, with the team completing an interview with University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh on Monday.
After Brandon Staley gave up a historic 63 points to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders during the 2023 NFL regular season, the team decided it was time to move on, and now the struggling franchise is focused on bringing in a big-name head coach to get this team back on track.
Although Harbaugh will have no shortage of interested teams in the NFL after winning the National Championship on the college level, the Chargers will be an intriguing opportunity for the veteran head coach, as it could be argued that the team is set up to win now with Justin Herbert under center and a lot of talent on both sides of the football.
With Chargers fans tired of this team failing to live up to expectations and making the wrong move when it comes to bringing in the right leader as head coach, Los Angeles has the ideal opportunity to hire a born leader and arguably the best available coach on the open market next to legendary head coach Bill Belichick.

It’s safe to assume that if the Chargers could hire Harbaugh immediately, they’d do just that, as outside of Belichick, there’s no better culture-changing head coach available that can provide results right away.
Only time will tell if the Chargers can hire Harbaugh and if he’s truly committed to turning things around for Los Angeles.
