The Kansas City Chiefs are still the Kansas City Chiefs. They are the best team in football and haven’t even started to hit on all cylinders. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns, and the offense has had its fair share of injuries. But, the team just made waves by acquiring one of the best wide receivers of this generation. According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Chiefs have acquired future Hall of Fame wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a fifth-round pick.
Sources: #Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins is being traded to the #Chiefs in exchange for a 5th rounder that can get to a fourth rounder. Deal is being finalized.
A key veteran who could be the final piece, Hopkins name has been hot in the trade market. Now, he lands with the champs. pic.twitter.com/GRvRbUwux6

Fans are losing their minds on social media after hearing the news.
Hopkins on the chiefs is going to be crazy to see… he’s still a top 5 WR in the league IMO.

Hopkins has accomplished everything that young wide receivers dream about growing up. He has over 12,500 career receiving yards, nearly 80 career touchdown catches, and made both Pro Bowls and All-Pro teams. However, he has not come close to reaching the Super Bowl. That is the only thing that he is missing. Prior to this season, he had made the playoffs just four times in 11 seasons. Now, he joins a team that has a championship pedigree and a hunger to make history once again. Hopkins has also never played with a quarterback like Mahomes. Along with Travis Kelce, Hopkins figures to play a key role in the passing game down the stretch for head coach Andy Reid and the defending champions. The task of beating Kansas City just got taller.
