Folarin Balogun was held in check over the November international break, but returned to Ligue 1 action in a big way on Friday evening.
Balogun scored in Monaco’s 5-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain, getting his name back on the scoresheet for the French top-flight side. The U.S. men’s national team forward now has four league goals in 10 appearances for Monaco since joining from Arsenal this summer.
Takumi Minamino equalized for Monaco in the 22nd minute, but PSG rolled out to a 4-1 lead through goals from Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, and Vitinha.
Balogun’s clinical finish in the 75th minute cut the Monaco deficit to 4-2 after the 22-year-old slotted home. However, PSG added a fifth and final goal in second-half stoppage time though to cap the final score at 5-2.

Balogun drew the most fouls in the match (4) and also won five duels over his 90-minute performance.
