Former Manchester United player Alex Telles is discussing the possibility of returning to Europe – Manchester United updates on transfers and news.

Ex-Man United star Alex Telles "considering accepting proposal" to make return to Europe - Man United News And Transfer News

Former Manchester United defender Alex Telles is reportedly contemplating making a return to the European football stage after just one year in the Saudi Pro League.

United forked out £15.4million to lure Telles to the club from Liga NOS giants Porto in 2020.

He became Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s second signing of that transfer window, following Donny van de Beek’s arrival from Ajax.

Telles was unable to nail down a regular starting berth at Old Trafford and he mostly had to be content with deputising Luke Shaw.

Most of the Brazilian’s playing time came whenever Shaw was injured. Telles still managed to play 50, primarily due to the fact Shaw was sidelined for most of the 2021/22 campaign.

Telles left United for Sevilla on loan basis in August 2022. The Spanish outfit opted against making his stay permanent and he returned to England. He then made the decision to permanently leave United in July 2023 as he sealed a switch to Al-Nassr, where he was reunited with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Al-Nassr paid United £4m for Telles.

Last term, the 31-year-old made 27 appearances in the Gulf nation’s top flight. In that period, he helped the side keep six clean sheets while also scoring two goals in the process.

Just 12 months after going to Saudi, it appears that Telles is already missing European football and according to journalist Rudy Galetti, the ex-United man has been the subject of an offer from an unnamed Turkish club.

Galetti wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Telles received an offer from a Turkish club: no final decision made by the Brazilian left-back, but he’s considering accepting the proposal.”

Transfermkt currently value Telles at €6m.
