The Detroit Lions are for real.
Despite the doubts, the criticism, and those who thought they would fold in the playoffs, Dan Campbell’s team continues to march strong and prove that their regular-season success was no fluke.
Now, however, they’re about to face their toughest challenge of the entire season.
The Lions will have to hit the road and travel all the way to the West Coast for a date with the San Francisco 49ers.
The Niners have the most stacked team in the league by a significant margin, and they’ve been quite solid in the Bay area for the most part of Kyle Shanahan’s tenure in charge of the team.
Nonetheless, former Super Bowl champion Greg Jennings believes the Lions actually have a chance to pull off the upset and make it to the big game.
“I’m telling you, there’s a chance,” Jennings said.

Talking on The Carton Show, Jennings explained that the Niners would have a tough time putting pressure on Jared Goff.
He raved about the Lions’ offensive line and how they’re able to protect Goff, as well as the team’s ability to run the football as proficiently as they do things in the passing game.
Ben Johnson has put together arguably the best offense in the league, as this team simply can find multiple ways to hurt you with their schemes and personnel.
Goff already knows what it takes to make it to the Super Bowl, and while Brock Purdy was great in the clutch vs. the Green Bay Packers, the lights could still get a little too bright for him.
