Fox steals golf balls from Missouri charity tournament for police

The Sheriff’s Office Golf Invitational, which aimed to support the JeffCo Deputy Welfare Fund near St. Louis, took place last week. According to a report from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram,

Photos depict a mischievous fox swiftly approaching a golf ball, snatching it, and running away with its newfound treasure. The post humorously suggested that the fox may have accomplices who have also targeted various golfers. The authorities vowed to track down the cunning critter and bring it to justice.

Individuals in the sheriff’s department commented section expressed amusement at the situation. Some joked, “Probably helped improve my brothers’ games!” while another added, “He said this is mine.” One person even quipped, “Check with the team in second place. Rumor has it they paid the fox to put the first place team behind.” Additionally, someone questioned, “Do they confuse them for eggs or are they just jerks?” The sheriff’s department confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing.
