FOX Sports Analyst Predicts Impact of Davante Adams on New York Jets

FOX Sports Host Predicts How Jets Would Fare With Davante Adams

After reports surfaced that Davante Adams prefers to be traded, there has been lots of speculation about where the Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver could be headed in the coming weeks.

One team — the New York Jets — has emerged as the leading landing spot for the All-Pro.

The Jets, who are 2-2 entering Week 5, have plenty of issues on offense, and FOX Sports host Chris Broussard said he thinks their prospects would improve — up to a point — if Adams joined the team.

“If they get him, I definitely think they’d win the division. I don’t think they’d win the AFC,” Broussard said on “First Things First.”

Broussard reasons that Rodgers simply hasn’t played well in big playoff games, especially in his five NFC Championship Game appearances, four of which he lost.

Adams was teammates with Rodgers on the Green Bay Packers when they lost those four NFC title games, and Broussard pointed out how poor Rodgers’ numbers, especially his interceptions, have been in those contests.

Now, Rodgers appears to be a shell of his old self following last season’s torn Achilles and years of wear and tear as a starting quarterback in the NFL.

New York’s wide receivers have been underperforming this year as well, and with their running game also unexpectedly weak, it would make sense to lean into the passing game and try to give Rodgers his best chance of recapturing some of his former MVP production.
