WASHINGTON, DC – The Mubadala Citi DC Open, the only combined ATP-WTA 500 level tennis tournament in the world, has announced its preliminary main draw player fields for the 2024 tournament, which features nine of the world’s top 20 players, five Grand Slam champions, two past DC winners and 14 American players. The 55th edition of the tournament will take place July 27 – August 4 in Washington, DC at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Rock Creek Park. The Mubadala Citi DC Open is the fifth largest professional tennis event in the United States.

Main draw ATP player highlights include World No. 10, three-time Grand Slam semifinalist and 2023 DC semifinalist Grigor Dimitrov, 2022 US Open semifinalist, former World No. 10 and DMV native Frances Tiafoe, 2023 US Open semifinalist, recent U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championships winner and World No. 14 Ben Shelton, 2022 DC and 2023 Australian Open quarterfinalist and World No. 21 Sebastian Korda, six-time ATP champion, two-time Grand Slam semifinalistand World No. 22 Karen Khachanov, 2021 DC finalist Mackenzie McDonald and2021 Wimbledon semifinalist and 2022 Australian Open quarterfinalist Denis Shapovalov.

The Mubadala Citi DC Open’s ATP 500 event will feature 48 singles players and 16 doubles teams. The WTA 500 tournament will feature 32 singles competitors and 16 doubles teams. Additional players will join the main draws via wild card entry, to be announced in the coming weeks.
ATP and WTA entry lists include:
- Aryna Sabalenka, World No. 3: Two-time Australian Open champion and former World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka will return to DC for the first time since 2017. She has reached the semifinals or better of all four Grand Slams. Her 2024 season includes winning her second Major in Melbourne and reaching the finals in Rome, Madrid and Brisbane, as well as the quarterfinals in Berlin, Paris (Roland Garros) and Stuttgart.
- Ons Jabeur, World No. 10: Returning to Washington DC for the first time since 2019, Ons Jabeur achieved a career-high ranking of World No. 2 in 2022 and holds five singles titles. The Tunisian is a three-time Grand Slam finalist and has reached five quarterfinals this year, including Roland Garros.
- Grigor Dimitrov, World No. 10 – Three-time Grand Slam semifinalist Grigor Dimitrov is set to make his eighth appearance in DC, where he was a semifinalist in 2023. Dimitrov has nine ATP titles, securing his latest in Brisbane in January. Also this season, Dimitrov reached the quarterfinals at Roland Garros and the finals in Miami.
- Daria Kasatkina, World No. 12: This season, Daria Kasatkina won her fifth title in Eastbourne and reached the finals in Charleston, Abu Dhabi and Adelaide, as well as the quarterfinals in Brisbane. Kasatkina was a semifinalist at the 2022 Roland Garros and reached the quarterfinals at both Wimbledon and Roland Garros in 2018.
- Madison Keys, World No. 13: American Madison Keys recently captured her eighth career title in Strasbourg. The 2017 US Open finalist has achieved a quarterfinals or better appearance at all four Grand Slams. Keys also qualified for the WTA Elite Trophy in Zhuhai in 2023 and reached the US Open semifinals and quarterfinals in DC last year.
