Frances Tiafoe has ended his three-year partnership with coach Wayne Ferreira.
The 16th-ranked American took to Instagram to break the news, writing “Three years shared together, SHEESH we had a ton of success. But sadly we’ve decided to part ways. Thanks for getting me to the player I am today. Nothing but love and respect for you – my guy Wayne Ferreira.”
Tiafoe made several milestones with Ferreira at the helm. He reached his maiden Grand Slam semifinal at the US Open in 2022 and climbed to No.10 in the world in the same season.
Tiafoe lifted trophies at Houston and Stuttgart in 2023.

Tiafoe has already announced that he will begin work with Diego Moyano, who he formerly trained with under the USTA umbrella. Moyano, who has formerly coached Kevin Anderson and Coco Gauff, will coach Tiafoe privately.
“It’s a full circle moment from you helping me back at the USTA days to now privately,” Tiafoe wrote on Instagram. “I’m excited for what’s to come. You one crazy ass dude 😂😂😂. Man you working the hell out of me but I can’t [wait] for it to all pay off. Lets get busy next year!”
