Garrett Wilson ‘Out Of Words’ After Loss To Dolphins

The New York Jets suffered another blow to their faint hopes of making the playoffs on Black Friday when they got blown out by the Miami Dolphins, 34-13.

The game wasn’t close after the first quarter, as the Fins broke things open, and the Jets offense, as it had been all season, was weak and unable to consistently get anything going.

Stud wide receiver Garrett Wilson had seven catches, but they only added up to 44 yards, and after the game, he was at a loss for words, per Zack Rosenblatt.

Wilson, the No. 10 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has been having a solid season after putting up 1,103 receiving yards and winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award last year.

However, he, along with several other offensive skill players, has suffered from the lack of a high-quality quarterback.

Future Hall of Fame signal-caller Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles on New York’s first offensive series of the season, forcing third-year man Zach Wilson to take over under center.

Due to Wilson’s continued struggles, head coach Robert Saleh made a change in last week’s loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, and Tim Boyle is now their starter at QB.

With a 4-7 record, the Jets’ chances of making the playoffs are all but gone before the calendar has even turned over to December.

It has seemingly been a continuation of the bad fortune that has afflicted the organization for many decades, and it looks like its NFL-high streak of 12 straight seasons without making the postseason will continue.
