The draw for the 112th edition of the Melbourne Slam will be released on Thursday; where Gauff, who recently captured her seventh career title in Auckland, is one of the favorites to win the tournament and will learn her path to the crown.
The young American’s ostentatious outfit has been circulating on social media, with tennis fans flocking to the comments section to add a ripple of excitement. Such a wave of interest made one user articulate a tweet of Gauff’s interview during the kit launch.
The tweet, which has garnered over 150,000 impressions on social platform X, formerly Twitter, asserted that Gauff wanted to channel her “inner Serena” because the outfits resemble the 23-time Grand Slam champion kit from the 2016 Australian Open.
New Balance has launched two outfits Gauff will wear at the upcoming first Grand Slam of 2024. One is an an-yellow top and skirt with navy blue accents, and the other interchanges the colors.
