GB ANNOUNCE WOMEN’S LONG-LIST SQUAD – IHUK

GB ANNOUNCE WOMEN’S LONG-LIST SQUAD – IHUK

Great Britain Head Coach Mike Clancy has named his long-list squad for 2024.

The squad of 35 players will form the basis of selection for this year’s women’s Four Nations and World Championship tournaments.

GB will face Italy, Poland and hosts Denmark in next month’s Four Nations, which takes place in Esbjerg from 8th to 10th February.

Britain will travel to Riga for the World Championship Division I Group B from 31st March to 6th April.

They’ll face Italy, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia, as well as hosts Latvia who were promoted from Division II Group A.

Clancy said: “I’ve said previously how much talent there is in the country.

“The bar is clearly raising year-on-year on the competition for places where the one per cents really do mater on who’s in and who’s out on the final roster.

“The depth of talent now coming through into the programme – along with the alignment of both under-16s and under-18s programmes – is really exciting for Great Britain ice hockey.”
