GB ARRIVE IN LATVIA FOR U16 MEN’S RIGA HOCKEY CUP – IHUK


Great Britain arrived in Latvia today ahead of this weekend’s Under-16 Men’s Riga Hockey Cup.

The prestigious European tournament sees 14 teams split into two groups.

Group games take place on Friday and Saturday before placement matches on Sunday.

Head Coach, Jamie Elson, said: “We are excited to get started with this group and see where we are as a team.

“Last year, we had a great tournament here in Riga and we want to pick up where we left off with that group of players.

“It’s the start of the GB journey for many of these players and I’m looking forward to seeing how they perform wearing the GB shirt.

“The camps this year have been really good and guys have battled hard for their spots.

“They all have an opportunity now to perform and impress and show what they are capable. It promises to be an exciting few days ahead for the group.”
