GB SQUAD ANNOUNCED FOR U16 MEN’S RIGA HOCKEY CUP – IHUK

Great Britain have announced their squad for April’s under-16 men’s Riga Hockey Cup.

The 14-team tournament – which is the largest in Europe – will run from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st April 2024.

It’s the third year in succession that GB have played in the three-day tournament which involves teams from across Europe.

Head Coach, Jamie Elson, said: “We are pleased to be able to announce this year’s squad to travel to Riga and I’m looking forward to getting to work with them over the tournament.

“Over the course of the year the group has worked hard at the camps and we like what we’ve seen both on and off ice.

“We have some really good talent here and hard-working athletes, but we’ve also seen some great character and attitude amongst this group and that’s exciting.

“Last year’s group had an exceptional tournament and we want to pick-up where we left off with this year’s group.”

Reserves – Netminder: Caiden MacColl (North Ayr). Defence: Finn Williams (Sheffield). Forwards: Taylor Stanton (Telford), Jake Wigginton (Leeds).
