Montreal-born Bouchard had some Montreal Canadiens fans in mourning seeing her donning the blue-and-orange jersey of the New York Islanders to attend a game at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park this week.

Earlier this month, Bouchard was a member of Team Canada, which captured its maiden Billie Jean King Cup championship defeating Italy at the final

Bouchard was honored at the Islanders game earlier this week.

The team celebrated Bouchard’s Isles fandom with a video highlights package of her career on the big screen.

The former Wimbledon finalist was a good-luck charm for the home team as the Islanders beat the Philadelphia Flyers, 3-2.

Bouchard has been spending some time in New York in recent months.

The former world No. 5 went public with her relationship with Long Island native Jack Brinkley-Cook, son of super model Christie Brinkley, shortly after the US Open.
