Former NBA coach George Karl didn’t hold back in expressing his skepticism about the Los Angeles Lakers’ recent successes, specifically targeting their 2020 NBA championship and this year’s In-Season Tournament title.
Karl took a direct shot at the Purple and Gold after learning about the Lakers’ plan to display the In-Season Tournament championship banner alongside their NBA championship banners.
In a sarcastic tweet, Karl stated, “The Bubble banner + In-season banner stitched together would be like one whole banner!!”
The comment from the seasoned coach adds fuel to the debate surrounding the legitimacy and significance of titles won during unique circumstances, such as the NBA Bubble in 2020.
