George Karl praises Jokic as potentially the greatest player in basketball history

George Karl: "Jokic may be the best player I've ever seen play basketball"

Following a spectacular performance by Nikola Jokic, leading the Denver Nuggets to victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in the playoff opener, former Nuggets coach George Karl took to social media to express his awe.

In a thrilling display of skill and leadership, Jokic notched 32 points and 12 rebounds, guiding the Nuggets to a decisive 114-103 win against the Purple and Gold.

Despite a strong effort from Lakers’ stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Nuggets’ resilience and efficiency proved too much to overcome.

With his dominant display on the court, Jokic has garnered praise from basketball legends, with Karl considering him as possibly the greatest player he’s ever seen in his 50-year career.

“I’ve been around hoops for 50 years and I’ve seen a lot of incredible players, including Connie, Julius, Michael, Tim, Shaq, KAJ, Kobe and LBJ. But, at this point, I’m thinking Jokic may be the best player I’ve ever seen play basketball,” Karl tweeted.
