George Kittle Raves About Brock Purdy’s Performance

George Kittle Gives Major Praise To Brock Purdy

The San Francisco 49ers are Brock Purdy’s team now, and the sooner some people come to peace with that, the better it’ll be.

Purdy is now entering his second full season as a starter, taking all the first-team reps in practice, and embracing that role.

He wasn’t known for being particularly vocal, but he knows he’s the leader of the team now, and he’s acting as such.

That’s why fellow star George Kittle showered him with praise.

Talking about his quarterback, Kittle raved about his consistency and how he shows up to play and deliver every single day.

But more than that, he was proud of the fact that he was actually calling out the receivers when they weren’t at their best, demanding more from his teammates and holding everybody accountable:

“He’s in the building every day and is the same guy every single day, consistent. He’s incredibly competitive. It’s fun seeing him yell at guys when they don’t hit their route depth or have the wrong landmark,” Kittle told NBC Sports Bay Area.

Some believe Purdy doesn’t have what it takes to lead this team to the ultimate prize.

However, he’s done a lot of winning since he took the reins of the team, and he had some solid performances in the playoffs as well.

Truth be told, the Niners were some questionable coaching decisions away from winning the Super Bowl, and a lot of that would have to do with Purdy and the way he played.

Now, with a huge chip on his shoulder and a big contract extension looming large, the former Mr. Irrelevant has the challenge of being even better next season, and he’ll have to be at his best to shut down the critics once and for all.
