Georgetown secures commitment from top transfer as College basketball transfer portal 2024 releases top 70 player rankings

Harvard transfer Malik Mack has committed to Georgetown, providing coach Ed Cooley with a key piece for the Hoyas as they look to rebuild after a tough three-year stretch. Mack, ranked No. 22 in the CBS Sports Transfer Rankings, was the Ivy League Rookie of the Year after averaging 17.2 points and 4.8 assists per game in his freshman year at Harvard. The Maryland native, who played high school basketball in Washington D.C., is seen as a foundational piece for Georgetown with three years of eligibility remaining.

In addition to Mack, Georgetown has also secured a commitment from transfer Micah Peavy, a defensive standout with experience in the Big 12. The transfer portal window remains open until May 1, giving players time to make their decisions. Notable transfers to watch include Johnell Davis from FAU, Tucker DeVries from Drake to West Virginia, and Zeke Mayo from South Dakota State to Kansas. These transfers, along with many others, are expected to make significant impacts at their new schools.
