Meet the 7 LIV Golf players in the 2024 Olympics men’s golf field

It’s almost time for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, which means another exciting golf competition on a global stage. The Olympics kick off in France this Friday, with the men’s golf competition starting next week and featuring 60 players from around the world. The men’s competition will take place from Aug. 1-4, followed by the women’s competition from Aug. 7-10. This will be the third consecutive Olympic Games to include golf, after its return to the schedule in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

The 60 players earned their spots based on the official International Golf Federation world ranking list as of June 17, 2024. The Olympic qualifying criteria aims to ensure representation from players around the world, including those ranked outside the top 200. The top 15 players in the world are eligible, with a limit of four players per country. The remaining players are selected based on rankings, with a maximum of two eligible players from countries that do not already have two or more players in the top 15. The host country, France, is guaranteed at least one spot.
