After a disappointing 2023 campaign, the New York Giants hope to bounce back with a vengeance during the upcoming 2024 NFL season and reclaim some of that optimism from head coach Brian Daboll’s first season with the team in 2022.
Obviously, with superstar running back Saquon Barkley leaving the team in NFL free agency and signing with the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles, things have gotten a little tougher on the Giants, especially with the team sticking with Daniel Jones as their starting quarterback moving forward.
However, the team did get better in a few different areas on offense, with the storied franchise deciding against selecting a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft in order to bring in a potential superstar at the wide receiver position in Malik Nabers out of LSU.
Along with Nabers giving Jones a potentially solid and consistent target downfield next season, the offensive line might get a boost from a rejuvenated Andrew Thomas, who has been working hard to shed some body fat this offseason.
Thomas recently admitted that he won the team’s competition for the most body fat lost heading into training camp, which is probably some news that will make Daboll and Jones happy via Giants Videos.
“I won the competition this year for the most body fat lost,” Thomas said.
The Giants are one of those teams in the NFC that no one knows what they’ll look like on the football field, as they were expected to be a legitimate force to be reckoned with last season after an incredible 2022 campaign.
However, things can change quickly in the NFL, so it is not out of the question that New York will turn some heads in 2024.
