Great Britain Announces World Championship Team – IHUK


Great Britain has confirmed their 25-player team for the World Championship in Czechia which starts next weekend.

In a squad for the first time after playing in February’s Olympic Qualifiers, Sean Norris and Cole Shudra join the team.

Meanwhile, netminder Lucas Brine receives his first full international call-up following his role as back-up in the two challenge games against Poland last weekend.

After completing a two-week training camp in Nottingham this morning, the team will have a day off before heading to Czechia on Sunday.

The team will spend four days at their pre-tournament training base in Slany and will play a challenge game against Kazakhstan on Tuesday at 5pm (4pm UK time).

Pete Russell’s team will then move to Prague on Wednesday in preparation for their opening game of the World Championship against Canada, the world’s number one ranked team on Saturday, 11th May.
