San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has been pleased with Tre Jones’ play at backup point guard this season (averaging 7.9 PPG/2.8 RPG/5.1 APG/43.4% FG/84.4% FT).
(via San Antonio Spurs):
“He’s more aggressive all the time. He’s looking to get to the rim or find somebody outside the paint for that three. He understands the position better than he ever has, so he’s doing a good job there. He’s probably our most physical guy defensively. He’s not the biggest, but he gets into people and mixes it up really well.”
