Growing interest from Premier League clubs in Jadon Sancho as Manchester United eyes permanent departure – Manchester United Updates and Transfer Rumors

Premier League interest growing in Jadon Sancho with Man United hoping for permanent exit - Man United News And Transfer News

Years of poor investment in the transfer market by the incompetent Glazers have meant Manchester United are under the PSR scanner and need to sell players first before focusing on recruitment.

The club has a reported transfer budget of only £50 million and need to supplement that figure with player sales with INEOS planning a major summer clearout.

Plenty of big-name stars are expected to be moved on with Jadon Sancho likely to be one of them. The forward had a major falling-out with Erik ten Hag after the manager called him out for his below-par training displays.

The former Manchester City academy product reacted in the worst manner possible and put out a social media statement against the United boss while his camp accused Ten Hag of offering preferential treatment to other players.

Sancho-EtH tiff

Things escalated further when Sancho refused to apologise and he was ultimately exiled from the first team and the club was forced to send him out on loan to former club Borussia Dortmund.

After a slow start, the Englishman re-found his groove and helped the Bundesliga giants to an unlikely spot in the Champions League final, where they lost out to Real Madrid.

His displays in Germany piqued the interest of several teams including Juventus, Barcelona while Dortmund were also keen on holding on to the England international.

Now, as per Alfredo Pedulla, an unnamed Premier League side have also expressed their interest in the exiled United star. The Old Lady have proposed a loan deal, something United are against as of now.

The 20-time English league champions would prefer a permanent exit and have slapped an asking price of €60 million, something no team has agreed to pay so far. Whether they will sell to a fellow rival also remains to be seen.

Multiple clubs in the race

Thus, the Turin-based club are not too worried as they feel nobody will pay as much and United could either be forced to lower Sancho’s value or agree to a temporary solution.

“Juventus really like Jadon Sancho and would like to close a loan deal. There is no need to rush because Juve today – as is known – has priorities in other departments.

“Secondly, we need to understand Manchester United’s willingness to let him go and there is also competition (a club in Spain and another in the Premier League). But Juve, who today would only act on loan, has remained in close contact with Sancho’s entourage, they like his profile a lot and they already liked him in January.”

The 24-year-old has proven that under the right conditions he can still perform at a high level but with Ten Hag set to remain at the helm, it is unlikely that Sancho will return to Old Trafford.
