The Minnesota Vikings came into Week 5 of the 2024 NFL regular season with a perfect record of 4-0 and the distinction of potentially being the best all-around team in the league after the first month of the year.

However, the Vikings faced the tough challenge of going overseas to face Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets in London, England, hoping to keep their flawless record intact.

Although the Jets gave the Vikings a run for their money, as they were able to contain Sam Darnold and the potent offense, Minnesota was able to get the job done defensively, which seems to have proven to be the difference.

The Vikings are now sitting at 5-0 while being in first place in the NFC North division and the top team in the conference, with Minnesota looking like a tough team to beat moving forward.

One player that stood out on Sunday in London was safety Harrison Smith, who chose to go with an interesting sack celebration after bringing down Rodgers, as he went with the superstar quarterback’s patented championship belt celebration via the NFL’s X account.

It’s safe to say Rodgers wasn’t happy about being blindsided by Smith and then seeing the Viking safety use his celebration, which put the icing on the cake for the impressive sack.

With this win, the Vikings have likely put the league on notice as they continue to prove they’re the real deal, while the Jets have shown they may not be the Super Bowl title contender some were expecting with Rodgers back under center.
