The $15,000 Mardy Fish Children’s Foundation Tennis Championships ITF World Tennis Tour USTA Pro Circuit tournament is hosting a doubles wild card tournament the weekend of April 6-7 at the Vero Beach Tennis & Fitness Club. The event is open to all men’s entries for this men’s event with the winner of the tournament earning a wild card entry into the main draw of the doubles of this pro event and have the opportunity to play against ATP ranked pros and for a chance at prize money and ATP points.
The entry is $40 per team and entries can be taken via this link on the UTR website here: https://app.utrsports.net/events/221429?t=2 Entries close on Wednesday, April 3. Play will very likely start on Saturday, April 5, depending on the number of entries.
In 2023, 53-year-old James Bragg, a former standout player at Dartmouth, paired with Vero Beach teaching pro Ching Wang to win the tournament and had a chance to play in the main draw of doubles at the Mardy Fish where they lost to Roberto Cid Subveri, a Davis Cup player from the Dominican Republic, and Sathi Reddy of India 6-2, 6-0. Player must have an ITF Ipin number to compete in ITF World Tennis Tour USTA Pro Circuit events, but is not required to play in the wild card event.
