After the New York Giants got dismantled 28-6 on Sunday by the Minnesota Vikings, it looks like they’re in for another rough season.
Lots of attention has been focused on quarterback Daniel Jones, who went 22 of 42 and threw zero touchdown passes and two interceptions in the blowout loss.
Former NFL coach Herm Edwards says he feels bad for Jones, especially since he’s in New York, which is a rough place to play for a prominent athlete, per Freddie and Harry.

For years, the Giants and their fans hoped Jones would blossom into a legitimate franchise quarterback, especially after a decent rookie season in 2019, during which he threw for 3,027 and 24 touchdowns in 13 games.
But since then, he hasn’t come close to duplicating that type of production.
Last season saw the first signs that perhaps the Giants were ready to give up on Jones, as he tore his ACL at midseason, only to see the team go on a three-game winning streak with rookie and New Jersey native Tommy DeVito starting under center.
There were rumors they were ready to move on from him during the offseason, and they could’ve drafted another QB with the No. 6 pick in April’s draft, but they went with wide receiver Malik Nabers instead.
Nabers had five catches for 66 yards on Sunday, and if Jones is to silence his critics, he is going to have to take advantage of Nabers’ talents, as he has never really played with a wideout as gifted as him since coming to the NFL.
