After selecting quarterback C.J. Stroud and defensive end Will Anderson Jr. with consecutive picks near the top of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans were thought to have brought in some promising building blocks to get this struggling franchise back on track in the foreseeable future.

However, no one expected this team with two high draft picks and a rookie head coach to make any noise during the 2023 campaign, as Houston was thought to be a few years away from doing anything of note in the AFC.

Fortunately for the Texans, it was an instant success for the franchise with Stroud under center, as he quickly made a name for himself and is arguably already one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

One player who benefited greatly from catching passes from Stroud last season in Houston was fellow rookie Tank Dell, who made an impact in the 11 games he played, hauling in seven touchdowns to go along with over 700 yards receiving.

With Dell being a rising star for the Texans, he’s gotten opportunities off the field during this NFL offseason, including taking orders at Chick-Fil-A via Dov Kleiman.

As long as Dell can stay healthy while being productive during his time on the gridiron, he’ll be a valuable asset for the Texans moving forward and might compete with superstar newcomer Stefon Diggs to be Stroud’s favorite target downfield.

The Texans will be a team to watch during the 2024 campaign, with the franchise making some key additions to put Houston in contention right away.
