Humbert Captures Dubai Title; de Minaur Defends Acapulco Crown; Tabilo Reaches Santiago Final

No. 5 seed Ugo Humbert won his second title of the  season on Saturday in Dubai, U.A.E., defeating No. 7 seed Alexander Bublik 6-4, 6-3.

In a match that lasted one hour and 24 minutes, Humbert used his crafty serve to strike nine aces, while adding 25 winners to his victory.

Never playing Bublik on Tour prior to today’s match, Humbert will improve to No. 14 in the world when Monday’s rankings are released.

Bublik, who was aiming to win his second title of the season, dismissed second seed and Andrey Rublev in the semifinals.

The Kazakh will move up to No. 19 in the world on Monday.

Inform Australian Alex de Minaur continued his sensational season on Tour on Saturday in Acapulco, Mexico, notching his first title of the year and eighth of his career over Casper Ruud.

Recording a 6-4, 6-4 victory in one hour and 58 minutes, de Minaur struck three aces, won 67 percent of his first serve points and broke the serve of his Norwegian opponent on three occasions.

Improving to 2-0 against Ruud in lifetime meetings, de Minaur will be ranked No. 10 in the world on Monday.

Ruud, who was playing in his second final in as many weeks, was looking to capture his 11th career title. The 25-year-old ousted No. 2 seed Holger Rune in the semifinals.
