Ugo Humbert and Sebastian Baez cracked new career-high rankings on Monday, after title runs at Dubai and Santiago this weekend. Jump down the page to see who else is on the rise in this week’s ATP ranking.
Humbert No.1 Frenchman
Ugo Humbert’s stunning run to the title at Dubai takes the Frenchman to a career-high ranking of No.14. The 25-year-old won his second title of 2024 to become the first Frenchman inside the Top 15 since Gael Monfils in 2021.
Humbert showed off his hard court prowess when he defeated Daniil Medvedev, Hubert Hurkacz and Alexander Bublik and improved to 6-0 lifetime in ATP finals this week – he is one of just three ATP players to win his first six ATP finals.
Baez Keeps Streaking
Sebastian Baez kept up his torrid tennis, making it back-to-back titles in Rio and Santiago, and the 23-year-old enters the Top-20 for the first time as a result.
Baez, now the top-ranked Argentine, has now won nine consecutive matches dating back to the start of his title run at Rio. He defeated Alejandro Tabilo for the title in three sets on Sunday.
Tabilo Top 40 Debut
Speaking of Tabilo, the No.2 Chilean (behind Nicolas Jarry) makes his Top-40 debut after reaching the final in Santiago. It’s been a good year for Tabilo, who won his maiden title at Auckland in January and sports a 10-4 record in 2024.
Ruud Re-Enters Top 10
Moving back into the Top 10 after a stellar performance at Acapulco is Norway’s Casper Ruud. The 25-year-old, who fell to Alex de Minaur in the final, jumps two spots to return to the Top-10 at No.19. He is 13-3 on the season.
De Minaur remains at No.10 thanks to his successful title defense in Acapulco, as Taylor Fritz drops two spots from No.10 to No.12.
Also shooting up the rankings was Jack Draper, who reached the semifinals at Acapulco and jumps 13 spots to a career-high at No.37.
Djokovic 415 Weeks at No.1
Novak Djokovic continues his reign at the top of the ATP rankings. The 24-time Grand Slam champion is into his 415th week at No.1 – 115 more weeks than any other man. He’ll have a chance to pad his lead over the next month at Indian Wells and Miami, where he is defending zero points.
