IHUK moves into new headquarters at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park

Ice Hockey UK (IHUK) is excited to announce our new home as the Landing Pad at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park.

IHUK is set to join the esteemed ice sports community already based at the park, with British Ice Skating stationed at the English Institute of Sport Sheffield and Elite League side Sheffield Steelers playing at the Utilita Arena Sheffield, as well as England Ice Hockey located at iceSheffield.

Ice Hockey UK Chief Executive, Henry Staelens, said: “We’re thrilled to announce the relocation of Ice Hockey UK to Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park. This move symbolises our commitment to advancing the sport of ice hockey and creating a lasting impact on the community.

“The facilities at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park are second to none and we are excited about the prospects this move brings for our organisation and the sport as a whole.”

Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park has become an established focal point for sports, health and innovation since its inception.

With its world-class infrastructure and collaborative ethos, the park serves as an ideal setting for IHUK to drive initiatives aimed at promoting participation, talent development and inclusivity within the ice hockey landscape.

This strategic move comes hot on the heels of several new arrivals to Landing Pad, including Barnsley Women’s FC, Cricket Arena, Reyt and, most recently, Medilink North, solidifying Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park’s status as a hub for innovation and excellence across the health, sport and wellbeing sectors.

Rachel Vickers, Senior Commercial Manager at Scarborough Group International, said: “The relocation of a national governing body which oversees the UK’s biggest indoor sport and fastest-growing winter sport is another major boost for Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park and, in particular, Landing Pad which is already home to several other sports-related occupiers including Barnsley Women’s FC and Cricket Arena.

“Their arrival perfectly complements our vision for the park as the home of innovation in sport, health and wellbeing and we wish Ice Hockey UK all the best with their new HQ.”
