New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis was not done after making his final selection during the 2024 NFL Draft.

Instead, Loomis and the Saints worked the phones, agreeing to terms with undrafted free agents who did not hear their names called this weekend.

Idaho receiver Jermaine Jackson is an interesting name to watch. The 5’7″, 170-pound receiver also returned kicks for the Hawkeyes. He averaged 30.4 yards on kick returns and 16.4 yards on punt returns.

Colorado State tight end Dallin Holker exploded onto the scene during his final season of college football. He caught 64 passes for 764 yards and six touchdowns. Holker is a 2023 All-American.

Yale receiver Mason Tipton is another accomplished pass catcher, as his 10 touchdowns in 2023 led the Ivy League.

Vanderbilt punter Matthew Hayball will be in an interesting training camp battle with incumbent Saints punter Lou Hedley. Both Hayball and Hedley are Australian punters.

Speaking of international talent, Nebraska guard Nouri Nouili was born in Frankfurt, Germany. He started 11 games for the Cornhuskers at right guard after joining Nebraska as a walk-on.

Along with the announced UDFAs and draft picks, the Saints have also invited a handful of players to their rookie minicamp on a tryout.

These players will reportedly join the 15 undrafted free agents and seven draft picks that the Saints selected this weekend.

Offensive linemen Taliese Fuaga and Josiah Eaton, cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry, quarterback Spencer Rattler, receiver Bub Means, linebacker Jaylan Ford, and defensive tackle Khristian Boyd are all expected to be in attendance.

When Is the Saints’ Rookie Minicamp?

NOLA’s rookie minicamp is set to begin on May 10.

Rookies will have an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the coaching staff and decision-makers.
