The 2024 NFL Draft was not over for the Buffalo Bills after they drafted their 10th rookie in the seventh round.
Bills GM Brandon Beane worked the phones, competing with other NFL decision-makers to secure top undrafted free agents who did not hear their names called over the weekend.
Previous UDFAs have made Buffalo’s roster, but it won’t be easy because of the amount of talent the Bills have amassed elsewhere.
Let’s take a look at the undrafted players who agreed to terms with the Bills.
Which UDFAs Did the Bills Sign? Contracts and Notable Names
- Frank Gore Jr., RB, Southern Mississippi
- Xavier Johnson Jr., WR, Ohio State
- Keaton Bills, OG, Utah
- Gunner Britton, OL, Auburn
- Jack Browning, P, San Diego State
- Lawrence Keys, WR, Tulane
- Keni-H Lovely, CB, Western Michigan
- Branson Deen, DL, Miami (FL)
The undrafted free agent signings for the Bills has started to rolled out.
One of the biggest undrafted free agents, Frank Gore Jr., decided to sign with the Bills. Gore Jr. is the son of legendary, longtime NFL running back Frank Gore, who played his 15th NFL season with the Bills in 2019.
Gore Jr. had a monster four seasons of college football with Southern Miss. He rushed for over 4,000 yards in college and scored 26 touchdowns. He’s also a viable receiver out of the backfield, catching 65 passes for 692 yards and an additional four touchdowns through the air.
The Bills drafted Kentucky RB Ray Davis in the fourth round to spell incumbent James Cook. However, behind Davis and Cook are Ty Johnson and Darrynton Evans. Gore Jr. has a real chance to make this roster.
Just got off the phone with Frank Gore Sr. who was very emotional and happy about his son joining the #Bills as a UDFA:
“We’re good. We’re going to Buffalo man to do our thing. Tell them they better be ready-trust me. I know what I’m raising. Folks slept on my son; they slept… pic.com/DcHZyhPo8k

Another interesting name is Ohio State receiver Xavier Johnson Jr. He spent five seasons with the Buckeyes but did not get much production behind stars like Marvin Harrison Jr., Chris Olave, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Garrett Wilson these last few years.

Still, Johnson put up 353 career yards and a touchdown.
Utah guard Keaton Bills is much more interesting than his last name, which would undeniably sell a ton of jerseys in Buffalo. He played four seasons of college football for the Utes and earned honorable mention All-Pac-12 honors twice.
