The Baltimore Ravens know they don’t have that big a margin for error this season.
With two defeats to start the year, John Harbaugh’s team will have to approach its matchup with the Buffalo Bills as a postseason contest.
Unfortunately, they will be without one of their most important defensive players for that game.
According to a report by Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, the team downgraded star NT Michael Pierce to doubtful for Sunday night’s high-stakes game.
Ravens have downgraded NT Michael Pierce (shoulder) to doubtful for tomorrow’s game against Bills. Pierce hasn’t been playing ton of snaps, but he’s a valuable piece of DL rotation.

Piece sustained a shoulder injury in the team’s win over the Dallas Cowboys.
He’s played a total of 66 snaps this season, registering five quarterback pressures, four tackles, three quarterback hurries, and 0.5 sacks.
Needless to say, this is a big blow for a Ravens team that will have its work cut out on Sunday night.
The Bills will hit the road to put their perfect 3-0 record to the test against a Ravens team that knows its playoff chances would significantly drop with another loss.
The Ravens were inches away from beating the Kansas City Chiefs in the season opener and then let a double-digit lead slip right through their fingers in the fourth quarter vs. the Las Vegas Raiders before their win over the Cowboys in Week 3.
Those early-season mishaps have put them in a tough position, and you don’t want to be in desperation mode just one month into the season.
This will be one of the most exciting games of the season, and it’ll be a barometer to determine where both teams truly stand as contenders.
