New England Patriots first round pick Drake Maye made his NFL debut last night, stepping in as quarterback during the final drive in a loss to the Jets.
Jets End Losing Streak To Patriots
The Patriots had not lost a game at MetLife Stadium since 2015 before Thursday night. However, Aaron Rodgers led a masterful performance to finally end New York’s losing streak.
Breaking the losing record came easily as the Patriots struggled to make an impact in week 3, resulting in a one-sided affair.
Rodgers threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns, including his first passing touchdown to star New York wide receiver Garrett Wilson.

MetLife Stadium was electrified during Rodgers’ seasonal home debut, as he completed 27 of 35 passes in another stellar performance.
Breece Hall continued his strong start to the 2024 NFL season, scoring his first rushing touchdown of the campaign.
The Patriots struggled to find positives on Thursday night, looking outclassed for the second consecutive week after their surprising win against the Bengals in week 1.
Drake Maye made his debut for the Patriots in the loss, but his NFL introduction did not go as planned due to minimal protection for the first round draft pick.
Maye completed four passes for 22 yards in his debut, but it was the three sacks on his opening drive that stood out the most.

With little protection for the Patriots quarterback, many fans hope that Maye is kept on the sideline a bit longer to avoid risking injury.
Up next, the Patriots face a tough matchup against the 49ers in week 4, while the Jets aim to continue their strong start against the Broncos.
