Coming into last season, the Kansas City Chiefs were the defending Super Bowl champions once again, as they were able to get the best of the Philadelphia Eagles in the big game.

With two rings to his credit while being the starter for the Chiefs under center, superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes was hungry for more last season, but the team was sorely lacking in the wide receiver department, which hurt the team’s passing game.

Despite the wide receiver position seemingly being a weakness for the defending champions, it really didn’t matter when the NFL playoffs rolled around, as Mahomes and company were able to go the distance once again to reach the Super Bowl for a second straight year.

Ultimately, the Chiefs were able to beat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime in an epic battle, which resulted in a third ring won by Mahomes, who is now the undisputed leader of a dynasty in Kansas City.

As Mahomes gets ready for next season and the chance to make history by becoming the first team in the NFL to win three Super Bowls in a row, he’s taking it easy but still showing why he’s the best quarterback in the league with an incredible throw into the stands via Dov Kleiman.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Chiefs can continue their dominance on the football field next season, with Mahomes finally getting some help at the wide receiver due to the addition of veteran Marquise Brown and rookie Xavier Worthy.

These two additions should help get the passing game back on track while giving the Chiefs a shot to make NFL history.
