The Indianapolis Colts must be very worried about their future.

Anthony Richardson will miss yet another game, and he’s barely played in the two seasons he’s been in the league.

He won’t be able to take the field for their divisional matchup vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars, as they’ve officially deemed him inactive for Sunday’s matchup (via Adam Schefter).

The young star left the win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first quarter.

He took back-to-back hits before being replaced by Joe Flacco.

He’s dealing with an injured hip, adding to a long and worrisome list of ailments he’s suffered in his brief career.

He didn’t get a lot of experience in college and desperately needed all the reps to get better.

As mesmerizing as his physical tools are, he needs to improve his accuracy and decision-making, and that only comes with playing time.

Richardson has reportedly shut down concerns about his injury-prone and uber-aggressive playing style, but it’s become painfully evident that something’s got to change here.

He’s a unique talent in terms of size, speed, strength, and athleticism, but none of that will matter if he’s not able to stay on the field.

The Colts could certainly do a whole lot worse than having Joe Flacco as their backup quarterback, and he looked sharp in the win over the Steelers.

Now, he’ll lead the way against a struggling Jacksonville Jaguars team that’ll approach this game like a playoff contest, knowing that falling to 0-5 would pretty much end their season already.
